This does not apply to Broadband
4theNET Dialup Modem Services require that CLI (calling line identification)
is not withheld on your telephone line. CLI is also know
as Caller ID, i.e. the presentation of your telephone number to the
person you have called.
By default you should be submitting
your CLI, if you are unsure or need to unbar your CLI please contact your
telecommunications company as soon as possible. If you have CLI barred by
default, there is often a code that can be placed in front of the number
being dialled to allow the CLI information to be passed for that
individual call. (This is usually 1470 but, if you are not on a BT line,
check with your telecoms provider).
4theNET PAYG and CLI
If the CLI is withheld, you will be
able to browse the net and receive e-mail, but will be unable to send
e-mail. We will not use CLI data for marketing
or any purpose other than stopping SPAM email.
4theNET Unlimited and CLI
If CLI is withheld you will be unable to use the 4theNET
Unlimited service. CLI is used to identify you as the owner of
your account and stop others attempting to use your username and
password from another phone line.
If you have any questions regarding CLI, please contact us on 0870
